# ITPortal integration

## What does the ITPortal integration do?
Our ITPortal integration enables you to seamlessly update documentation.
## Set up the ITPortal integration
### Set up steps in ITPortal
1. Log in to ITPortal with your credentials.
2. Navigate to **Profile (name) > Admin Settings**.
3. Click **Generate API Key** under the **Security** section.
4. Select the option to **Generate API Key** under the **Security** section.
5. Enter a description for the API key. We recommend REWST.
6. Toggle the option **Allow to create same name objects** to off.
7. Click **Generate API Key**.
8. Copy the new API key and store it somewhere secure. Once you leave this screen you won't be able to view the key again. You'll need this information for further steps in Rewst.
### Set up steps in Rewst
1. Navigate to **Integrations** in the left side menu of your Rewst platform.
2. In the Integrations page, search for the `ITPortal` integration.
3. Click on the integration tile to launch the configuration setup dialog.
4. Choose from either Production or Demo Mode for the setup of your integration:
1. **Production**: Connect with real credentials for live data
2. **Demo Mode**: Explore the integration with simulated mock responses
5. Click **Next: Configure and Authenticate**.
6. Select **+ Create New Credential from the Credential** drop-down selector.
7. Enter the information copied from ITPortal into the relevant fields:
1. **Base URL**
2. **API Key**
8. Click **Save Credential**.
9. Click **Next: Confirm**.
10. Click **Install Integration**. The integration will now appear in the top Connected section of your Integrations page.
11. Click on the installed integration. Scroll down to the Org Mappings section of the configuration page and complete organization mapping as needed.
